  1. the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

It is Sunday and there's some Bible for you. The point is that I have a very old Kobo reader. I haven't used it for at least a year and it celebrated me trying to start using it again by spitting its dummy big time. It tried to reset itself and lost all my books, I just tried It again by buying a 99p book but it wanted me to pay on my Apple phone. Apple Pay involved itself and continually went roundabout asking for the same thing time and time again, on this tab, I downloaded Kindle and installed it in a sec. I don't think that I've ever bought the Bible, but it was there. This tablet knows me and knows my Google account and Amazon account, so all is ready in a couple of mind, with none of the "Who the hell are you?" that was going on with Kobo. This is where Amazon wins because they make things so easy. I'll probably keep using this tablet for my reading now. It's quite big but as my minces aren't brilliant since my accident, I think abigger screen works, but as I wrote this, it came to me that this is too big. I think that I'll look for a smaller tablet. I'll stick with Android because everything just works for me. Now back down to the coffee shop in the hotel to choose a book and tablet,

  2. With my new found happiness with Kindle reading, the only trouble is that this tablet is too big. I bought it a few years ago when I just got home after my hospital tour. It was pimerily for banking stuff and it's still the only device that I have with all my finances on. I wanted something with a very big screen as I couldn't see too well (an optic nerve to my left eye got detached) and now I can see fine, I like the big screen. It's good for I player, Netflix and Prime movies, but a bit big for just reading.

I looked at Kindle devices on Amazon and thought them expensive for just a reader. Ive looked on Amazon for Android devices, like this one, as I know that they can do everything that I want and they are much cheaper than buying a Kindle devices, so I cannot see any reason to buy a Kindle.

I feel that I must be missing something. Anyone know what?

  3. Dunno if it helps, but I found an app called Moon+ Reader that gives the best contrast I’ve found for reading on an Android device.

  4. @PerryL look into the Remarkable 2, not the colour one as its pants.

It's a large ipad style with an interactive e-ink screen and can load books and the likes. Might help with the vision given the zoom size.

I mainly use it for note and idea tracking along side some doodling. The battery lasts for months when not in use which is always a plus.

  6. I've pretty much decided to get another tablet running on Android - just smaller than this one, That way I can have a backup for this one, with the same financial apps plus the Kindle app for books. It can do email and diary, also . I'll still carry a phone so I can show tickets and pay for stuff. I'm unsure which phone as I really don't get on with the phone. It's insanely thin but it is useless. I just don't seem to get on with it. I am thinking of getting my main number put back on SIM and my other number put on eSIM.
