I swear the two clowns in the commentary box commentate on the race they would like to see rather than what is actually happening, if it wasn't for the race noises I'd happily watch it without sound.
On the hbo max app 2 weeks ago I had the option to turn the commentary off. This option has now disappeared. To be honest I just can’t be bothered to watch it anymore the racing is crap and 2 annoying pricks.
Did anyone find out what happened to TB46 at the start? Presumably he just get swallowed up at the first corner and wasn’t a mechanical. 9th to 16th though! And Taz “colliding with” Vickers in warm up for a long lap penalty, wtf!
You have to wonder what the thinking is at mvds hiring Canet and sl14 next year, must have very deep pockets for spare parts.

A minute and five seconds behind the winner in race 2. Credit where it’s due to Chantra tho who finished above two ducatis and two Yamahas and only just got pipped by Gerloffs green thing. Don’t quote me on it but would imagine that’s his best result of the season.
If only he hadn’t made the rookie error of trying to ride through Vickers in the warm up. The double long lap penalty cost him 10 seconds ? He was less than 5 seconds off a podium at the end. I find it really frustrating when he says, this is his best dry race result. I won’t now be at Donington, my poor old body just isn’t up to doing 6 race weekends in 7 weeks but hope he can continue this level of performance. Andy
I didn’t see the “collision” what happened? Sounds like something you hear about on the rookie track day threads.
Lost count of the amount of times ive heard pinky or perky say “if it stays like like this…” a couple of laps into the race.
Part way round the initial lap of morning practice, Taz collided with the rear of Vickers’ Honda. Taz could have been unsighted, he could have misjudged his braking. As I believe Taz had a qualifier on the rear and an SC1 on the front, that would make the front less grippy that early in the lap. That could have meant Taz lost the front before collecting Vickers. The part of the track where it happened is fast and I’m not sure Vickers’ Honda was going fast enough. Still, whatever the reason, Taz got a double long lap penalty for causing another rider to crash. Andy
