drove a nice car*, met some nice people, one about to be married, even nicer than the people a week ago. now it's that walking thing again - Did I mention this before? It's not the same walking from the last time I haven't been walking since I posted in case anyone is worried.** * Steering wheel adjustment collet hadn't been tightened, potentially very dangerous. ** They aren't.
I was in a sour mood with a sharp response. I could have equally have not responded. That's what I like about this forum, we're all adults and can speak minds whilst being mindful.
Finally paired my Sony headphones with the PC, laptop and phone. I was expecting I wouldn't be able to do it. Listened to excellent sounds all evening. Then finally managed to open a Microsoft account, as now required to activate Windows offline. I had to disable all add-ons - all but one of which are for security. Still couldn't activate though, because Microsoft are shit. Then came here, forgetting to re-enable the add-ons. Christ what a mess this place is without the ad-blockers! Ducati Forum without ad-blocking is up there with Microsoft.
Just finished a couple of quests in Fable (Anniversary) on the steam deck in the garden, sulking that I'm not on my bike
Honestly, probably the best yearly investment I make. Cheap as chips and helps pay you lot to keep us lot under check
They've certainly got a yellow t-shirt! Or five. Sony WH1000XM4. I had a pair by MPOW that worked well but after 3 years fell apart. Like they make them from a plastic that breaks down in contact with human hair, of which I still have a couple. Interestingly, to me anyway, I can't wear ear buds. They don't stay in. I believe I'm the only one in the world who can't. I also have a pair of Shures, for plugging into the amp, but obviously they're not wireless. Only now it occurs to me they're - presumably just the ear-covering ones - known as 'cans'. And were long before noise cancelling.
Apparently. There's probably considerably more than one born every minute. I'm still using Windows 8.1. That's the last build I will use - still mostly user-controllable, that can be made almost like Windows 7, which will go down in history as the most finished operating system ever made; and that will run on current chipsets, which 7 won't. I used to fix people's computers, but refuse to work on Windows 10 or 11, on which, as with anything Apple, you can only be a mug. The laptop runs Debian.
Once I would have said "Adverts? What are adverts?" having run a Mozilla-based browser for a couple of decades, including said add-ons, now re-enabled. I suppose I'll have to shell out, if only to antagonize the maximum number of other subscribers!
My wonderful daughter took me out for a lovely breakfast for father's day. My dad is away again in the SoF with friends on a car rally . Had this great pic from him , he's 80 next year
Went to collect Mrs. GG’s new phone, got both set up in store, paired them to the respective cars then spent some time arguing with an Amazon shoe rack to get it to fully fill the wardrobe space. Now off to change golf bags as Mrs GG has threatened not to talk to me if I carry my bag for the next two days; it is an idle threat but I’ll do it to keep the peace…
