  1. Had a wonderful day with Doris and the kids :)

  2. Stayed up all night building a text to image ai stack on my pc. I've been making many, many lude videos and silly skits. All without any judgment or stepping in from those public models (chatgpt, Claude etc)

Entirely useless, but still a good laugh and I learnt a lot! The highlight was a gif I made of Putin, Starmer and Trump having a jolly good Roger. Gave me a good chuckle that one.

  3. Arrived home late Saturday night after driving back up through France. And yet another delay on the Eurotunnel, two hours this time.

  4. Started to rip up 25sqm of rotten decking. Only allowed to go to my local tip 4 times a month:mad: I feel a mini skip might be better.
Ground underneath won’t be holding any crown green bowls matches either.
    Grrrr.

  5. "Hydrate" loads today you lovely people, if forecasts correct (looks like a certainty) there could be some heat-related casualties in the next week for a few unlucky senior citizens.

  7. I had planned to “do a bit” to finish off a project on the flower bed in my front garden today and tomorrow. It would have entailed a modicum of digging, seiving and raking but I think probably not the most sensible thing to be doing in the heat. Might just pay a visit to my local garden centre to look at plants instead. Their cafe has air conditioning :D Andy

  8. Retired my walking boots.
At least 3 charity marathon distance walks and the Yorkshire 3 peaks.
    Hundreds of walks. :pensive:

  9. I'm on my 7th or more cup of tea, and it's only (just passed) midday. I don't know why, but cold water doesn't appeal to me in the heat unless exercising/desperate.

  10. This weekend, I are be mostly doing, woodwork.

Saturday afternoon knocked up a 1600x800 'Representation' of The Mad Hatter's Table for the school production of Alice.

They'll paint it and hang it at an artistic angle upside-down from the lighting rig with teacups, teapot and paper plates suspended from it on fishing line.

Then yesterday I spent the day at my Eldest lads 'helping' to convert their under stairs cupboard.
Shame it's 2hrs each way though.
This is our second full day over two weekends on it, and we're now at the point of simply adding fronting panels and trim to neaten up the built from scratch carcasses for a completely flush smooth front.
Oh and the Dog also has a new Doggy Den.

I'm going to duck out of the rubbing down and painting, he and his wife can do that.

  12. I've opted out of working from home any day this week as the office has Aircon.
Am hoping it will have cooled down a bit by Friday so I can get out for a ride.

  13. Iggy probably saved mine and my son's lives yesterday.

We were on the on the way to pay a surprise Fathers' Day visit to my dad who is still in hospital recovering from cancer surgery, when the Supersonic Shed’s front left bottom ball joint snapped, causing the suspension to collapse, the front end of the van to drop by about 6” and the wheel to get pulled more or less perpendicular to and jammed under the arch. Thankfully, I was only going at walking pace in a service station car park rather than doing 60 on the motorway as I had been 30 seconds earlier. The only reason I had pulled into the services is because Iggy had been acting weird, pacing up and down the inside of the van, fretting, clucking like a chicken, and trying to get my son's attention by pushing him and insistently nudging him with his nose. I presumed he had a dicky belly or badly needed a pee, so I pulled off at the next services. It turned out he didn’t need to relieve himself, so I’m not sure why he was acting like that.

If it had happened on the motorway, I reckon there’s a good chance the front left corner would have dug in and the van would have rolled. I've mentioned before that I have a habit of dodging disaster by the skin of my teeth, including at least 4 times now when catastrophic mechanical failures have happened at low speed only minutes after I'd been caning it, so I have kind of come to expect this sort of thing: https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/thank-god-for-smoke-alarms.82491/#post-1753764
