Hello all, hope you can help. I think my 916 knows its going to be sold this year. Charged the battery and fired up and it misfired. I had put in a spare fuel pump which I had so assumed it was this. Last year, I went out on a run and it cut out. Inside the tank was rust and it had blocked up the fuel pump. So i took it out replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, cleaned the air filters, plugs. put it all back together all good. Parked up for a long time. Go to start it and nothing, turns over with great compression but no fire. test the fuel pump ohms and its really hire 17 ohms, i have another one that is lower 3 ohms so fit this in. It fires up but misfires so i assume its the pump. Order a new kemso fuel pump 50 quid and a tank seal. In the bike today and it starts but does not seem to tick over as good. low rpm 500 or 750, when reving it spits, seems to be a little hesitant. I take it on the run to the mot station, on the way it cut out a few times. i can get it going but it is back firing on the over run. when i throttle off i can hear it back firing poping which is not normal. also when trying to open the throttle it has be very gentle with little effort. cant get it to rev over 4/5. i returned from the mot place, as it gets warmer its harder to ride, i assume the lean running. from cold i have just started it up and feel the two pipes at the back. both get warm at the same time, the exhaust exit seems good from both sides. revving the bike from cold but again misfire, anything around 4/5k it will eventually cough and splutter and die.... I did have a leaking black fuel connector on the pump, the female cpc connector. i sprayed an airline into the opening with the clips open and closed. this stopped it leaking. I wonder if behind this pipe is rust or blockage that is causing the bike to misfire, i assume running very lean? can i undo the black connector cpc ? any suggestions as to what to do? Vinny
