I'm looking into getting a nav system for my bike. I'm torn between the Beeline Moto 2 and a CarPlay touchscreen multi-function setup. Any thoughts
I have a CarPlay system and it works well. I like the fact that it has front and rear facing cameras that are always rolling when the key is on.
@Josh Foreman @Isabelle Graham how come you have both just registered this morning and have almost identical email addresses and exactly the same bike?
I personally didn't get on with the Beeline, but that was the original version. I'm on my 3rd Carpuride touchscreen CarPlay on my XR, (the first two were replaced as faulty) it is very good but can still be temperamental. If (when) this one packs up I'm not sure I'd buy another, but its still waaaay better than the BMW nav system.
Throwing a curve ball, perhaps have a look at IGP sport equipment. It's meant for pushbikes but I use one on a Motorbike. They're stand alone, small, have a really good battery life (40 hours), have full GPS with turn by turn SAT NAV. No subscription or SIM needed. They're small gadgets and quite cheap. I have the BSC 300 and I paid less than £60. I wanted it mainly for use as a Speedo as one of mine doesn't have one but found it quite capably as a SAT NAV.
