Not posted any upgrades or what not for quite a while...so as above (and this was on the back of fitting the same exact set to my SXV550) to which i gained some nice subtle changes. First was it was easier to start. Secondly while running it felt ever-so-slightly more "sure" while running...thats the only way i can describe that. And finally i like to hear my engine so i usually blip the throttle up and down more often than not, and usually coming with that (on the SXV) it backfires quite a lot but now less.... My hyper as you can see under the tank is a bit of a mess as theres allsorts in there, 120db horn, QS cabling, addtional cabling for fuzebox, usb socket, gear selector indicator, air pods and other stuff i cant remember... Ironically the new Coils actually were easier to mount than the OEM ones. Im allergic to cutting loom side plugs but i had no choice with the coils as it was a really custom connector to the OEM ones but, on this occassion i didnt mind as Dyna have been around for years and years, and their coils are pretty well the best out there (better than OEM) imo, the design hasnt changed and i see ones that are years and years old for sale so doesnt bother me this time. Theres the placement.... the whole underneath of this generation is a mess...no matter how you try to tidy it up...it always looks a mess.. Theyre about 30% larger than the oem jobbies - i cant really comment on the fitting with an oem airbox though...so cut the oem loomside connectors off and use/crimp the slide connectors that come with the coils. Did this last week but just been out for a test ride today and the difference is the same as the sxv. Mines mapped so backfires a little bit, but a little bit less now, throttle blipping between gear is nicer and that "flick" of the throttle is more responsive than it was. Hard acceleration feels a little cleaner than it was so all in all im very pleased with the result. Oh - and thats what they are... https://dynatekuk.com/products/dyna-coil-setmini-single-output-3ohm-single-plug-single-fire-dc3-2 Thanks to JackyBoys advice ill be doing the starter motor upgrade to the Denso model next..
