The Cyclists/ebikers

  1. Hardly been out at all as my regular riding mate has stopped. 20 miles seemed hard work and take forever. Perhaps I'll get back into it, but to be honest I've not really missed it. Maybe I'll start a fresh next year

  2. I’m thinking of getting either an MTB or another gravel bike which takes larger section tyres so I can do some off road bike packing such as King Arthur’s Way. I’m liking the look of the Open Wi.de. 2.0.

just not sure how to sell the idea to SWMBO, although I have sold my shotgun so have a few £s in my portfolio

  3. Sad to not see Gary/@Nelson from Swindon on here for a while. I worked out what happened and why. Hope you're ok mate.

  4. I joined a cycle club for Gerry Hat tricks around 6 weeks ago but have had to stop already (hip) - oh how we laughed.

  5. We have a cycling group in Salisbury, sadly their timings never seem to work for me.

This weekend they are having a ride to Stonehenge at 0300, I can’t imagine getting up in the middle of the night to spend time with the highest concentration of weirdos in the U.K.

  10. I did a brief reverse taper ride today, first time I’ve sat on my bicycle since last Saturday in Aberdeen following LEJOG.

  11. Not enough hours in a day, a good clear out is a very cathartic process, I'm down to one ducati and a cycle, no mental gymnastics required here.

  12. I contacted the manufacturer after it was announced as being the safest helmet, but they told me it had not been approved for use in Europe and until there was it could only be bought in the US & Canada.

    Definitely on my radar.

  13. In late April Pikio replied as follows

Thank you for reaching out and for your interest in the PIKIO helmet.

Currently, we are only set up to ship within Canada and the USA as our helmet is certified under the North American CPSC standard. We are actively working on obtaining the EN1078 certification needed for sale in Europe.

We would be happy to notify you personally as soon as we are able to ship to the UK. Please feel free to also subscribe on our website to stay updated on our progress.

    Best regards,
    PIKIO Support Team
