Very close call earlier on my way for a nose at Motorbikes 4 alls new place, some stupid old woman pulled straight out of her driveway in her biddy mobile , right across my path leaving me nowhere to go, how I stopped I don’t know. My front wheel was inches from her car and she just carried on without a care. She’s the sort who will give up driving once she’s killed someone.
Cycling back from dropping my car at the garage approaching my house my neighbour pulled out of her driveway without looking or seeing me. I was flying in top gear on my little Brompton and unable to stop in time had she not heeded the now waving and screaming passenger who alerted her to my speedy approach. Red faced she waved and mouthed sorry Just wait until the next street BBQ
Unfortunately there is no test and trusting people to voluntarily give up driving is just unworkable. Reminds me of the OAP driver who drove into my parked Scrambler and just made up excuses as the why she didn't see it.
I didn’t even have time to think to use my horn, I was just concentrating on getting stopped. Those Denali horns are bloody loud though.
Fitted a Carpuride Apple car play thing to my SS in place of my satnav. Reason being as that I can use ways as a satnav which is much more current than my nav.
Went too see my parents, stopped on top of woodhead for a drink and time to think about stuff, was darn toasty
Sunday: generator and clutch cover off for starter motor replacement (newer revision starter motor) - hope to fix an oil leak at the same time which ive never found, service the clutch as well.
