Hmmm... perhaps I'm comparing apples & oranges, but I think I paid £18 pounds for a day ticket at Shelsley Walsh and onsite camping on the Friday night was £10.
£1500 and you camp? Go to Prescott instead, and also visit the tiny Bugatti museum there, and marvel at where alloy wheels first came from. They're not just wheels either but beautiful bits of aero-design, made to cool the brakes. Genius. And I don't even like cars, but an old Bugatti is something else.
