  1. Hi all, im after some advice, hopefully from someone who's managed to find a solution.
Im in desperate need of a more comfortable and preferably higher seat for my 2018 MTS.
I've currently got a PP seat on ( at the higher setting) , but also have the original, however after a 500+ mile day ( rare, but i usually do 200-300 mile days) on my last tour its showing up its shortcomings. Im 6'5" and really need more leg room and preferably something a little flatter profile, so that it doesnt push me forward so much. Ive also tried one of those mesh covers, and it worked brilliantly on my last BMW K1300, but not so much on this..
All help is appreciated, as if i can't find a solution its making me start to think of swapping bikes.

  2. Touratech Ducati seat is the answer, imho. It was brilliant on my 1200.

  3. What year was your 1200, was it the DVT?

  4. 2016 DVT. Touratech seats are hard to find but do come up now and again and I think they fit 1260 as well. The seat is a different shape.
    Failing that get yours reshaped.

  5. Pm me. I have a proper solution.

Touratech are ok but I have a better seat.

  6. I modified my seat to stop having to fight the forward lean and made it far more comfortable.
I fitted the raised seat rails and front raising bracket. I modified the raising rails by sawing off the raised pads at the rear, leaving the front alone. This left the front raised and the rear lower, and made things far more comfortable.
It's an inexpensive solution, and even if you didn't find it the fix you wanted you can go back to OE by buying new raising rails for about £26 last time I checked.

  7. Agreed, I've got both the touratech and the seat Sam can get sorted. Sam's seat is very comfortable and more suited for longer trips.
