Hello all.... I am picking up my new V4S full next Friday and the first job will be wiring the GARMIN XT in. Can somebody tell me where is the Aux wiring for the V4S? Plus will I need a connector from Ducati to connect into a multi plug? Thanks in advance..... Keith
The Nav connector is under the cover with the Hella 12V socket (right-hand side of the display). It has a plug with pig tails which you remove to connect to the sat nav wiring. There is enough room under the cover to lose the power converter block and excess cable of the Garmin XT power loom.
Hi there.......... If you check out You Tube and a guy who uses the name "Ducati Time" ..... there's a very good video showing how he wired in his Tom Tom 550 ...... it shows in the video exactly where the wiring connector is and what you'll need to do
It is a JST connector and it’s definitely behind the right hand black plastic cover next to the dash.
As I’ve mentioned earlier, put the pig tails on the connector in hot water and the rubber cover will slide off.
Quite right: it's a JST 02T-JWPF-VSLE-S plug. I bought my PP second hand and the previous owner had already used the pigtail connector for his satnav. I've just spent several hours trying to a) crimp and b) solder one of these connectors, and there's a reason you buy them ready made with pigtail: they're complete sods to try to work on!
