On the weekend replaced the clutch on the sxv with an STM in an attempt to stop it slipping....test ride to work on that yesterday...mission accomplished. Then sunday replace the starter on the hyper with the newer denso model. I think, good...out of the garage the start was a little problematic but, the return home (at the office it started probably the quickest ive seen it) - more importantly ive fixed a long standing oil leak (which im guessing turned out to be the instant gasket on the generator side (now fitted with a gasket.)
I'd like to ask all to cross anything they can, the 1260 was dropped off to Ducati this morning and I am hoping it's a stupid gremlin causing my recent electrical woes. Please be kind, Ducati gods, my soul is red and my heart in the shape of an L (twin)... Do not be an expensive fix
Saw a consultant Urologist, he was happy with my PSA at 1.2, he was not at all happy with a condition I have, called Phymosis, that has deteriorated rapidly since being referred by my GP 10 months ago. I'm now on his urgent surgery waiting list, for which I am very grateful. I'm not looking forward to the relatively minor procedure at my age but needs must. Andy
Still waiting to get some scaffolding erected, and have lost the first week of my holiday to get the work done. So today Lady Nasher and I spent a few hours at Mottisfont, which is @ an hour from us: https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/hampshire/mottisfont We're NT members so apart from the usual coffees, cakes, and a pasty for lunch it wasn't even an expensive day out. Well worth a visit if like us you enjoy that sort of thing. I could have spent all day in the walled garden, let alone anywhere else.
Climbed this Had breakfast looking at this Sheep, usually not homicidal maniacs, but there is always a chance
Not today but tomorrow...........we are going here - https://kynren.com/epic-tale-of-england/ Kynren—an epic open-air live show in Bishop Auckland, County Durham—is widely praised by audiences for its spectacular scale, immense volunteer cast, and immersive storytelling. Visitors on platforms like Tripadvisor often compare it to Disney productions or the French Puy du Fou, commending the dazzling use of pyrotechnics, animals, and moving sets. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5] Reviewers highlight several consistent points across the board: [1, 2] The Scale and Production: With a cast and crew of over 1,000 local volunteers, the 7.5-acre stage covers the equivalent of five football pitches. Viewers are consistently awestruck by the choreography, which features everything from Viking longships and replica steam trains to horses and sheep. [1, 2] The Storytelling: The show takes the audience on a 90-minute time-traveling journey through 2,000 years of English history. While praised for its emotional weight—such as the reenactment of the 1914 Christmas Truce and the patriotic finale—a minority of critics note that it leans heavily into English exceptionalism. [1, 2, 3, 4] Value and Experience: Most consider it worth the money and travel, especially families. However, some visitors mention that the overall costs add up quickly due to on-site food and drink prices, and note that you cannot bring your own. [1, 2, 3] For a look at the immersive experience and the scale of the Viking village before the show: Been booked for months and we're looking forward to it
A compressor wash after a salty flight over the North Sea. Standard practice to preserve engine longevity/efficiency.
