I have to say that I was thinking the same thing today. Certainly for riding on Britain's roads today
Had one, in fact had 2, point to point I'd take anyone on the road and they wouldn't leave me behind whatever they rode (unless they were a riding god!) I don't go in for this boasting of how fast I am bollox, some are slower some are faster, but can safely say my Evo was by far the easiest and most fun bike to ride very fast on the road. Fact. And naysayers can stick their opinion up their arse and fuck off back to the 'I need traction coz I've so much power' part of the forum. HTH trolls.
Well said Bradders I applaud your use of the word FACT if in capitals it can never be contested. Just googled ducati 848 and all that came up was 'Best bike in the world! Fact'
I've found I actually quite miss my 848. Don't get me wrong I really do love the Pani, but sometimes I want something I can give a little bit of stick to and get after a bit. On the road that's not really the Pani. Mentioned this to a couple of people I know now and they look at me like I'm a lunatic. Guess they only see the shiney and not the ride.
