It’s not quite straight forward. The electronics were written on the original V4R to have a red line at 17,500rpm but was capped at 16,000rpm before it turned a wheel in anger on track. A lot of the bikes power was made in those 1500 revs. Move forward (is it really 8 years ?) and the bike still makes most of it’s power in the upper rev band. You are looking at reducing the bike’s top speed which only has to be 2 or 3 mph and on tracks like Thruxton and the competition come back into play. Still doesn’t take into consideration Kyle is the cream of the crop and it will bugger the chances of the likes of Storm Stacey. Andy

Never been interested in track days but if I ever did one, brands would be it as I feel like I know it *like the back of my hand. However, I think I’d still struggle to get under double what they’re doing on my 899 lap time wise.
