Only saw the highlights as we were out yesterday evening……..but from the highlights it seemed that France really weren’t arsed in the first half.
The England v France game was a good watch. It was still for 3rd place in the World Cup - not a friendly. No excuse for not being motivated for P3 in the World Cup. And we still beat them 6-4 Supposedly the most devastating team in the tournament - we put 6 goals past them for Third place. If France were too precious to put in an effort for P3 then I wish we had more more past them because that is what they deserve. Spain to win tonight for the big one.
Or was it England being too strong following their disappointment with themselves against Argentina, combined with Saka scoring a hat trick? To be fair the Froggies did pull back into the game amazingly well for 4 goals down and 45 minutes to play. Spain to win? Can they be so boring that the Argies won't mob them in waves like they did England? I'm not sure, but I really don't know much about football!
