So I’m not riding my 916sp anymore, and looking to put it all back to stock and lay it up. Question is did some actually come with the ms carbon Airbox and scoops? Cheers
If you have an air filter over the inlet trumpets I would say not. As I was informed that method affects resonation in the airbox. If your filters are in the airscoops then maybe a factory fitting.
That was the time that ducati build with what they have on the shelfs, so who knows. I know for sure that some had carbon mudguards others not. Might be so with airboxes. Henk!!!
You are right Henk. My 1997 748SP which I bought new from a main dealer was supplied with 50mm exhaust. Lucky me, tee hee.
I have had my 916 SP3 from new. It came with 2nd eprom, standard exhaust and Termis, bike cover, silver headstock number plaque, rear Ohlins, front Showa, Brembo cast iron disk (floating), bronze/gold 3 spoke Brembos (embossed with Ducati Racing on hub), and stand. The only carbon parts were the chain guard, front hugger, fairing v-panel, and number plate holder. It did not have rear hugger. I have heard a few got some other bits but I suspect that is hard to prove one way or the other. Here's mine. Still have the original bits, except the cover which fell apart pretty quickly... Here is the brochure: Hope that helps. Kev.
That’s great Kev thankyou, with those notes it looks like I’m just missing the discs and termis, I have the stock cans boxed up.
