  5. I don't think it is, he lives in the Cotswolds and the show is near Gatwick.

  7. That would be daft surely.
    It's a big place, and he'd be easily avoided.
    I'm sure they wouldn't force everyone to file past him to pay homage with no choice.

    I think the expression is 'Cutting off your nose to spite your face'.
