Cleaned off 3964 miles worth of chain lube. Nipped into town on the maxi scoot in shorts and T-shirt, I felt very European.
Went out for a ride this morning, took The Dragon with me, her first time on the back of the new bike, called in at the local dealer to order the lowered seat, ticked off the remaining 60 miles, so it is now ready for the first service
Replaced the Garmin XT with a Carpuride 702. The Garmin had been okay but on long trips like my recent tour to Lake Como and back it was a pain. We take it day-by-day so have a very loose plan to allow deviations for weather and pacing changes depending how we feel. So the standard is to pick the stop for the night over lunch and then pick a route for the following day over dinner, planning the route on 1 XT then sharing it with the others over bluetooth. And they always end up with different routes. Hopefully using google maps and the Android auto / Carplay screens will be better. It will certainly be easier to use Spotify on the move.
Bought a transalp, pick up from shop next week. Fancied running one, bit different from my monster and hyper. It's an addition rather than a swap. 9 years since i bought a bike, life's too short to wonder if. Should be a good bus for camping trips etc
I’ve just done the same only a 602s I have a Garmin Zumo and have to say for the price of it I haven’t been impressed. I’ll keep it tho because I’ll use it on the SL. I’m going to buy Scenic for my phone to use in the Carpuride.

I looked at the 702 but it’s too big for my supersport. The 602s fits between my clutch and brake reservoirs. I would’ve liked the TPMS and the cameras. I went for the S as it’s removable.
I've an MOT booked for Tuesday morning on my 900 SL, so a check over and test ride this afternoon. No rear brake at the end of the road, it worked last time I was out on it . A couple of miles and everything else seemed fine. Back on the drive and the rear fluid was low, a quick top up and the pedal felt good. End of the road again and it worked but not very well and very noisy . Back on the drive and took the caliper off to look at the pads , and they weren't there!!! The pads, clip and pin had vanished!. The noise was the pistons on the disc . I've borrowed the bits needed off my 600ss, just need to bleed the brake tomorrow after work, fingers crossed it's all good.
