I just got a Jaecoo 7 as a hire car and have to say I do not share your enthusiasm i'm afraid. Way to many pings, dings, bongs, Android Auto throwing a wobbler, unnecessary stuff that needs cancelling before every trip, the list goes on.
I've got a good idea - why don't we strip it down and copy it - stick Volvo on the front of it - or Jaguar. How difficult can it be.
Well who’d have thunk it? Dominate the market then ramp up the price… https://www.pistonheads.com/news/de...ium=email&utm_term=Newsletter Send Smart List
Sorry, my mistake. Old fat fingers on a landscape I pad screen. I’ve done it once before. hopefully removed now!
In what circumstances and for what use? Chinese EVs have recently been banned from entering and in some cases, even being within a certain distance of, a number of SF and other military bases. Also, MI5 recently issued a warning about Chinese EVs being weaponised by the CCP, not by them eg: making them rogue and ploughing into pedestrians or petrol stations but by simply remotely disabling them and thereby plunging urban areas into chaos. Or are you being sarcastic, riffing on the treasonous and/or fiscally incontinent nature of HMG?
Sarcastic of course, Sounds very troubling about there cars not a good look to let them in our country, Tesla all the way, I say this as we have two of them
What is this I read about new cars costing more than £40,000 being stung by the government for additional tax for 3 years ? Andy
£40 k on diesel, petrol and hybrids. £50 k on electric. Additional £500 rfl per annum for five years. Total market distortion
Indeed. Another thing for buyers to watch is it’s based on the list price the day before the new car is registered. So your manufacturer holds your price on order which is sub £40k but raises car and or optional accessories prices before delivery. Your goose is cooked.
New cars in the UK do not attract an additional Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) payment for 5 years. The extra charge is called the "Expensive Car Supplement" or luxury car tax—applies for 5 years (from year two to year six) on cars with a high list price. It was introduced on 1 April 2017. Mayhem's April Fools joke! Hopefully most people who bought their new car got a refund from the finance commision rip off that will ameliorate this somewhat.
