I wired mine up fairly recently. 1. The connector was tucked away in the front of the fairing but accessed from the right hand black plastic fairing inner trim. The one with the DIN socket. 2. It was marked Nav. 3. It had a pigtail on it. I took the pigtail with JST connector off and soldered it on a bench. No need for crimping or expensive crimpers. 4. I was careful to get the correct polarity. Can’t remember if they were red and black leads but fairly easy to work it out. 5. If the JST connector is not there on a used bike, there’s a connector supplier in Scotland, Google them. 6. It definitely does not need coding by a dealer. You install and you power up on ignition. I haven’t got to the bottom of it yet but I managed to mess up my DIN socket when I did it. It’s not powering up. Maybe I haven’t connected it back up properly. It doesn’t seem to be the fuse. I’ll sort it, can’t be that serious but something to watch out for. Hope this helps.
It says Nav on it, so I figured I was in the right direction… …0V on it though. Previous owner was using it, so I wonder?
