  2. I insure through a broker and they got me a policy with Aviva covering a Multistrada 1200s and a 748R fully comprehensive. I have declared modifications on the Multistrada which are covered for replacement. Having tried Ducati insurance, the difference was Ducati wouln't pay for the after market additions and there was an element of price matching from Aviva. I don't know how good they are but I got shafted by a little sh*t who ran into the back of my car trying to overtake me as I turned right at a junction despit me deliberately indicating a lot earlier than I would normally because he'd been on my arse for about 2 miles in heavy traffic. The point is he was insured third party with Aviva and my solicitor capitulated and accepted that I must have been 20% to blame for 4500 quids wort of damage to my car. It's ironic that they insure my bikes but not my car. There are posts about insurance that you need to search. MCE are not popular. Andy

  3. I have just signed up my two with Bikesure. No problems. Quick and simple over the phone with electronic paperwork to follow.

I would recommend that you steer clear of BeWiser. A few weeks ago I was looking for a new extra policy for my new bike and I inadvertently neglected to declare a claim I made in the car last year after a parcel van hit me at speed - it was his fault and I was awarded full compensation with no loss of bonus. But I just misunderstood the paperwork and didn't realise I needed to declare it as it wasn't my fault. Anyway, when BeWiser interrogated the national insurance database (which they all do apparently) they asked me about this and I told them the story and gave them all the evidence that it was found in my favour with no fault to me. They then came back with the bloody gall and told me that would cost £159 extra to add it to my policy. I said "don't be silly, it's a three minute job" but they persisted! So I cancelled both my policies and took my four years (and potentially the next ten years) custom elsewhere. Appalling example of financial rape of a customer....

  4. Moved to Insurance

  5. Well I have two bikes insured for half of next to nothing with BMW Insurance, I'm in the process of obtaining quotes for these plus a new Panigale. Im trying

    Bikesure
    Carole Nash
    Ducati
BMW, but I think they told me before, if its not a Beemer they are not interested.

The problem is my NCB is with them and leaves nothing for the 1199

  6. I use IAM Surety (which is a section of Adelaide). Very competitive and will beat anything you happen to find cheaper (rare).

  7. At the minute I'm with express for my two, I originally had a policy that I could have 5 bikes on but then I wanted to add my 250 scooter and suddenly they only insure two at a time! Had to get a seperate policy for the scooter. Hopefully come renewal I can get all three on the same policy.
