North Yorkshire Police said he was overtaking a line of vehicles when he collided with a Vauxhall Astra turning right at the Bagby junction. Tragic, but a classic motorcycling accident.
My thoughts exactly. Terrible when you hear about any biker crashing but when overtaking a line of cars you have to be exceptionally alert in case anyone is likely to turn right. Ive seen quite a few accidents like this involving cars overtaking traffic in bus lanes only to have a car pull across the lane...
That's a guy just like most of us, out and about, going for a blast, and enjoying his motorcycle, very sad.
yeah, very sad...and as johnv said, a typical biker accident..weve all been there, but got away with it...i had a donut do the 'sorry mate didnt see you' on me on Sunday...pulled out on me at a junction. i hate reading these stories...i bet they dont get these with such regularity on the modded car forums...
It doesn't exactly sound like the car driver was to blame though.... .......we've all done it and most of the time avoided it to be able to say......... ......."what an effing idiot............" ........to be overtaking a long line of cars when there is a junction coming up on the right...... RIP Mate..............Sorry your luck ran out this time........
