Ok in August my niece is going to climb Mount Everest. FFS beats me why but then again she has the same attitude to motorbikes apparently they are dangerous, more then climbing a mountain where there is not enough oxygen, everything is cold and slippery For all of you here that are photographers weather work or hobby one's. Is there a good digital camera that would survive and work in such place? It would have to be quite small and tough little thing but still preferably one of those with big lens?
Hey Lucaz, cant help with the answer im afraid, but its so nice to know youre still asking slightly off the wall questions, wouldnt be the same without you mate
Hi Si how are you? Do not know why but carrot cake comes to mind So what happened to 749 then? Also what off the wall questions you speak off ?
Hey Lucaz im good thanks mate long time no see, the 749 had to go im afraid so im without a bike, but i did buy an Alfa Romeo so keeping the Italian theme going at least. I can still remeber your face at Boxhill when i gave you that fairy cake with a carrot sticking out the top  who says it wasnt a carrot cake !!
Ne monster is here just had a ups on both of them just before job issue. At the moment monster has a rather big dent (hole almost) in tank and fuelling is well it is a flood of fuel for some odd reason. Thinking vibrations or drop unbalanced the carbs and/or screwed up fuel setup. SS is in one piece but has a yellow nose cone and mirror missing ....
LX5 is fantastic with an F2 Leica lens. Do some research on battery life at low temperatures. Sugest she readjusts to the notion of attempting to, rather than going to, climb Everest. There are usually many people trying at any one time and bottlenecks occur at key points on the route. She should have a well understood schedule and turn back if she falls behind on timings. Pressing on at all costs after being delayed is very dangerous and most deaths occur on the descent.
