Ok. Its probably been asked before but i use my phone for the internet and is a bit hit and miss with finding stuff. So just thought it easier to put my own post up. At rockingham today the clutch stopped working. Bled it back up, it had a lot of air in it...when bleeding the fluid was going in clear and coming out black??! So went out in the next session and by the time i got to the first corner, no clutch. Back in and bled it exactly the same air etc. I'm guessing it to be a seal gone somewhere so am after rebuild kits for both master and slave. The slave is a jhp one. Any help advice or opinions as to why its doing what its doing greatly appreciated. John
Had similar repeated 'bleeding' troubles which got steadily worse on my M600. Seals had gone hard in slave cylinder, £6.82 for the inner and outer seals - but this was on a standard Ducati slave cylinder.
i have discovered what is wrong with it all. the bearing on the pressure plate is siezed and the push rod is siezed into the bearing and its been spinning the piston in the slave cylinder and i'm guessing the friction has been boiling the shit out of my fluid. the slipper clutch has many things at fault and i have put a wanted ad up for a replacement set up if anyone has missed it and has one.
been there mate as my 999s went a bit funny you cant get a rebuild kit for the master cyclinder so its a new or replacement one if you can find one
