Just a heads up. I was ordering an S GT on Saturday, the sales man told me that his boss had just got back from a Ducati seminar in Italy I think? He said that Ducati are now going to produce the S GT in Ducati red as well as Silver, Ducati said there biggest criticism of the S GT was that it only came in Silver and that this was putting people off the S GT making them opt for the S Tourer to get it in red. So the 2014 models will be available in red. He never mentioned any other colours but I'm guessing the may bring it out in white to.
....well let's hope it still remains easily recognisable as a GT! I wait to see the red with baited breath, surely not Matt red! The dark grey looks sooo classy with touches of red, if it's all red I tend to think it can look a little bland for an adventure bike. Any other changes?
See I'm the total opposite to that. I think the silver is nice and as u say classy, but to me it shouts BMW!!!! He did say there may be a few tweaks but no other major changes to the looks.
For me red is certainly a must for superbikes and monsters. It isn't for the Multi. I don't really mind if there will be GTs in red but I do hope other models won't come with the GT grey. I'm actually proud of this exclusivity
Polished one! Totally agree slug..gorgeous highly polished sports like panigale in red....rugged adventure multistrada in Matt stealth colours, gutsy grey, bolshy black, stormy silver!
Well I finally found a picture of the bike I've ordered, it's not mat red...phew. The info is here Ducati Multistrada 1200 S Granturismo - Ducati But here's a pic if you cant be bothered to look.
....where's the graphics?....Pannier's the same as 2013, pillion hangers and under belly same colour from 2010! I cannot believe this is going to be the 2014 flagship? Bland! Sorry jc I'm just jealous! Seriously I think the best the best 2014 colour bike is the Pantigirdle S in Stealth black...it looks classy! Jc don't forget to come down my way,Cornwall.
I personally Love the 2013 grey, in fact, its why I bought it! Shame they're gonna spoil it's exclusivity!
In all honesty I would have preferred a white one, but out of the (BMW) silver and the red I defo like the red more. I know what you mean about the exclusivity of the (BMW) silver and the do look quite classy but to me they just don't stand out, these bikes are one of the best money can buy and for that money I want it to stand out and be in keeping with the heritage of the Ducati make AKA Ducati red. I have taken a year out of work to make the most of the bike so I'm hoping to meet up with a few of you over the next year or so. So don't be shy if you fancy a ride out and your with in an hour or so's ride feel free to invite me, My son was talking to a strada owner in Askam last week, that's the closest one to me that I know of it's about 7 miles from me.
might look something like this lol my own incarnation, genuine Ducati performance fog lights, sw motech crash bars, and quite a saving on a real GT
.....as they say....'Blue for a boy'.....good job Multi's are for 'Men'....errr and ladies......it's an horrible colour,fact!
