  1. Hi all..

Could someone please advise I am looking to get some kind of stick on material to go on the inside of my new carbon exhaust guards ... Anyone know what to use and where to purchase it...

    Many thanks

  2. the best solution like Char says is to get a price from Zircotec and pray they won't have your pants down too much.

Does depend what your heat shields are made from as well. What is the problem with them?

You could try the poor man's option and just get some thick silver adhesive backed tape and line it with that.

Bear in mind that the heat from your exhausts will 'post cure' your carbon. It will discolour, and there's very little you can do about it.

    What bike is it noods?

  3. Hi Guys

I tried Zircotec but they didn't want to know they only want to deal in big quantitys ..

The carbon is conquest carbon which is being sprayed by paint supremacy the bike is my Ducati Hypermotard 796 ..

The original plastic exhaust guards had a silver heat shield on the inside..

    Thank you all..

  4. Is the silver heatshield removable?

The other option is to space it away from the the exhaust so you have a good 10 - 15 mm clearance.

The problem you'll have in reality painted or not is that heatsoak will discolour it if its too close.

  5. I got some stuff from eBay. I'll try to dig out a link. The one I chose has a material backing with a silver reflective finish. It's thin enough to go on the back of pretty much anything
