  1. ... to drop my D16RR in for service. Never been before so am quite looking forward to a bit of a nosey :)

  2. Dave, whats the service intervals on the Desmo?

  3. You got his name right. Dave

  4. I get everyone's name right, Dave

  5. Yearly or 6000 miles, Dave is still enjoying his 3 years warranty and servicing though

  6. They are 7,500 miles, or yearly.

But once out of warranty, they are every time you get more than five numbers on your lottery ticket!

  7. Enjoy, don't be afraid to ask for a little nose around the service area, they often have some lovely kit in there and John and Rick Hackett are often happy to show some of it off ....

  8. go and give the little qually bike a hug for me please! Lots of D16's there for your bike to feel at home.

  9. wear braces.............

  11. I went on Saturday and lots of nice D16's there. One had over 20,000 mls on it.Good man.

My old man came along and really liked a couple of classic bikes they had just finished but I was too busy drooling over D16's and 999R Xerox with black ohlins forks.

There labour rates seem very reasonable to me for Ducati main dealers and Rick or Buzz always do a top job on my bike. When Rick fitted my Dymag carbon swingarm and mag yokes it was set up perfectly due to all his race prep experience.

The amount of top spec bikes in the service area shows how many ducati folks trust these guys to do the job right and many travel from much further than the midlands for this service.Due to there reputation they are very busy all yr round so it can take a little longer to get your bike booked in for work but id rather wait and have things done right.Like fitting my new carbon wheels.

  12. Brilliant service I had. And bike came back running better than I could ever have hoped for. Plus price was a nice surprise aswell.

    Will always go back there.

  13. Give mine a hug from me whilst you are there Dave will you! They are taking temporary refuge there (having some work done) whilst my garage is being renovated. Mine is the one in track fairings with well used tyres and the 20k on the clock!

  14. They are doing my bike while I wait so I'm down in the service area right now chatting to them as they work.

All the bikes have labels on them with the owners name on - so I had no trouble recognising Jerry's and Ian's.

The only one without a name tag is this one. Any ideas whose it is? ;-)

  16. How much more fuel will it take over the standard tank? And how many more miles will it give you between fuel stops?

  17. Dunno yet. So long as I get about the same as every other Ducati sportsbike I'll be well happy.

Here she is loaded back into the van for the run home.

  20. It belongs to Barrie Baxter - I met him through work once as a few people we know overlap. Nice chap, good rider too. Did IOM back in the day. That's Capirosi's old bike - nice bit of kit.
