I'm a little confused, can you change the ride height via the menu options? I ask as I'm 6'2" and I remember having to tip toe a little on the Enduro mode when I took the bike for a test. I might be remembering that differently. My Multi at the moment, feels very low to me compared... I have the normal touring seats (gel comfort ones). And I'm sure they are not the short arse version. But if I put the bike in Enduro mode, not only are both my feel flat on the ground and sat on the bike, I can stand up and have the bike between my thighs... It just seems a bit smaller than I remember. Or maybe I'm getting used to it? lol.
Can the ride height be raised independently of suspension? im sure I read somewhere you can alter seat height
You must have 4ft long legs if its in enduro...maybe the seat is a different one. Have a look at what the sag is like
Why do you think it's a wind up? Ok, so I just sat on the bike, in urban mode I can stand up just about... In enduro mode, I can't stand up without tip toeing. Maybe it's my sidi's with their heels throwing me off lol. I don't know. Does anyone have a list of ride heights for each mode?
Sorry mate, apparently what you're experiencing is the Skyhook system altering the suspension in the different modes. As I couldn't afford one I didn't know without digging about. Enjoy!
I personally find no noticeable difference in seat height on any of the modes. I'm sure there is I just can't say any feels any heigh her or lower at standstill
Are you sure the pre load was the same i.e. was the bike set up for solo, two up or with baggage? Certainly in touring mode, if you sit on the bike and change from 2 up to solo the seat height (suspension) will lower. Kevin
Maybe in your case the spring and suspension components have settled in? I do know that you can force a re-calibration of the preload at the rear by disconnecting the battery and reconnecting, the suspension then re-calibrates. Beware though because at the same time you have the odo change to Kilometers etc.
Freshage, I forgot, is your bike skyhook or not ? if it isn't then it is also possible to adjust the platform position on the ohlins damper. so in effect you could add a couple more mm of preload as the default. you need to take the damper off and remove the spring to do it, but it is possible.
