Popped up to Motorcycle live on Wednesday and without doubt this was the most impressive bit of kit on display, in fact both the chaps I went with bought a pair. IMO much better than a set of shitty aftermarket Oxford heated grips. XR-12 Hybrid Gloves - Gerbing's Heated Clothing If you are thinking of buying them online they do come up quite big, I'm a large and a medium was fine
I've been using Gerbing heated gloves & one of their heated jackets (fits under my leathers) for several winters. The gloves plug into the jacket sleeves & I have a temp controller with independent settings for gloves & jacket. This means just one connection to the lead from the bike's battery. The gloves are particularly brilliant as they keep my hands completely warm/comfortable regardless of ambient temperature.
Agree with Rudolph, have been using them for the past 5-10 years, can't remember the exact time. Bike has got heated grips fitted but they are crap compared to the gloves. It's great having hot palms but it doesn't stop your fingers and thumbs freezing at the same time. Gloves are good quality and waterproof without the need to treat them, I don't know if that is the same for the new ones. Only fly in the ointment is that one of the elements has packed up. Took them up to the NEC to see what they could do and unless I've still got the proof of purchase they can't exchange them, apparently they rarely fix them. Tried to explain the amount of time I've owned them plus the inner jacket but with all the best will I the world I don't file away all the receipts I get for that length of time. I've tried looking at my bank/credit card statements to no avail and I can't even remember if they were a present from the wife. Very good product but just keep that proof of purchase, lesson learned for me. Have to ring them after the show to see what they can do, mentioned possibly getting them for trade price.
My pal who bought some text me yesterday to say how good they were on a 100 mile round trip yesterday. I didn't buy a set but I have just picked up a set of £10 wool glove liners, they made a huge difference yesterday so not convinced personally I need a set of heated gloves
