Hi, Guys and Gals. Question for you. If I was to fit after market silencers and KEEP my standard mid section say Termi's what size Exhaust do I buy. My bike is a standard 996 bip. It has standard silencers. The pipe's that fits into the Silencer and MID section is 47mm external measurement, it fits into a Male socket in the mid section external measurement 50mm. (therefore internal measurement 47mm) So what size after market silencers/pipes do I need. I read For Sale adverts to fit 45mm 50mm and 55mm. Thanks for your help Ken. Most likely 50mm ?
If you want to fit 50mm end silencers i think you require a 45mm to 50mm link pipe. as by what you describe you have a complete 45mm system. I could be wrong though brian.
No I have not asked or stated that I want to fit a 50mm end can. I want to know what size cans I need to buy to fit my existing mid section which has a 50mm external measurement and a 47mm internal measurement socket. Hope this makes it clearer. Thanks for replying regards Ken.
45mm fits on the poverty spec mid section that's why it has a 47mm ID female socket. To change to 50mm you need a 45-50 midsection
The end silencer pipe to the silencer from the link pipe will be 45mm the collar will be 47mm outside dia that fits inside the 47mm inside dia/ 50mm outside dia link pipe female coupling. so i would say you require 45mm end silencers. i still could be wrong though sorry if i misunderstood your question . brian.
This is why things confuse me you now talk about Poverty Spec ? whats all that about.:smile: I don't want to change to 50mm. I needed/need to know what size I currently have based on the measurements I supplied. If Brian91cfr is Correct the system I have fitted is 45mm therefore I require a 45mm system to replace it. Basically Brian is saying I have a 45mm silencer pipe which is opened up to 47mm which fits into the internal 47mm section of the mid section part. regards Ken.
