Hi all, I am the proud owner of a 2009 1098 Streetfighter (standard). I currently have a stock exhaust system and wanted to swap out the cans for some new Termignoni Carbon slip-ons. To my amazement, Termignoni don't seem to make them for my bike anymore, presumably because Ducati stopped making the 1098 Streetfighter.. I've seen the Termis for "Streetfighter" and "Streetfighter S" all over the net but I checked with a Ducati dealer in NI and he said neither of those are for my bike. So I'm sending out an appeal to see if anyone has a new set of Termis still in stock for a 1098 Streetfighter or if it's possible to use either of the available versions with modification. I assume the problem is with the ECU being mapped specifically for the 848 and not with the pipes themselves. If there really is no chance of getting a new set of Termis, then I'm open to recommendations for alternatives: e.g. Akrapovic, Arrow, etc. Any help is greatly appreciated..
They are still listed in the 2013 Ducati Performance catalogue part number 96455210B. Try Ducati Coventry. The part number changed for 2012>on bikes so maybe why the dealer is confused.
guys, this is absolutely brilliant. Thanks very much for the part number Duke63. They do indeed still exist and I'll be ordering them soon. Have a great Christmas - you've certainly made mine!
I actually live in Dublin, but the Ducati shop here is mainly a Harley shop. I applied the builders rule before hitting the order button and I'm glad I did. I think the part number listed in Duke63's post (96455210B) is for the 'S' Streetfighter. As far as I can tell, the right one for the base Streetfighter model is 96454710B. The difference is in the ECU. The pipes themselves fit but the mapping between the SF and SF-S is different. Thanks again to everyone for your help and welcoming me to the group. Makes me proud to be a biker.. (for the past 44 years..)
you will be ok with millsport they seem a good bunch of blokes and girls . if your up this way millsport is a great spot at nw200, lots of exotic bikes turn up and joe,s bar over the road.if you buy the cans you want you can always reflash your ecu to suit your bike. chris on this forum can reflash for you i
Apologies, Joe, i should have read your initial post a bit more carefully. Glad you made the right decision, the part number you ordered is correct for your bike per the DP catalogue.
The DP ECU for the 1098 you need is 96520610B. If you can source the cans then the mapping can be sorted with a reflash.
Welcome to the site mate loads of advice on here just ordered my kit 1098s part no 96455212B 2013 model:wink:
Welcome Joe, few Irish lads and lasses on here, just down the road from ya (Cork originally) and have a streetfighter too. Wanna be Ducati buddies?
