  1. Anyone have any experiacne of the new BT023?

I currently use BT016's and wonder if i will get better wear from the BT023 with only a little les grip.

  2. From what I've read they seem to have been surpassed by more recent treads from Dunlop, ie Road or SportSmart 2s and also michelins PR3s . I suspect they maybe a little hard wearing if fitting to a superlight (assumed from avatar) . That said I used to run the previous BT21s on my old paul smart sport classic , they never let me down but didnt give the impression they were the grippiest tyre either. I still have the BT21s (as the PS was sold with its oem pirellies) and they look barely scrubbed in after about 1.5k miles of use.

  3. I've got BT023s on my 696 Monster and I'd buy them again. Much better than the OEM tyres (also Bridgestone), especially for confidence and grip in the wet. They've lasted remarkably well - I've done 8500 miles on them (including the UKMOC Mallory Park trackday) and there's still plenty of tread left and they've not gone 50p shaped in profile, nor has the handling deteriorated the way it did with the original tyres. I know I'm (a) a lightweight (55kg ish) and (b) slow, so I probably don't give tyres as hard a time as most riders, but I'm still well impressed.
