Michael Dunlop says prospect of missing 2014 season is 'real'

  1. Lets hope his scrap business or tarmaccing or whatever he Labours at is doing ok then...

  2. I wonder who's being awkward.............potential teams or him

  3. Of course he does. The prospect of me winning the lottery and buying Pani Rs for all my friends on here is real too, but its pretty un-bloody-likely

  4. sounds like sour grapes to me, not getting what he wants, thinks he's bigger than the sport and honda not playing.
So he's spat his dummy out and thrown his toys out the pram lol.
Either that or he's a manic depressive and on a downer at the moment??

  5. Once you get to the top, then you are quite entitled to try and call all the shots.

There is no doubt that the way he rides is right on the very edge of that line so why shouldn't he only do it if he feels everything is right just for him.

I also get the impression he might just want a break from racing and life something of a normal life for a while.

  6. Come on guys , hes one of those we all like to dislike ( bit like panto this ) but he is undoubtetly brilliant .
I bet if asked and were truthful hes the one all the top guys fear the most .

ps - Hes available for doing your drive tarmac all next summer . - Joke Michael honest - You are brill to watch

  7. Well i hope he gets a ride, and not some old donkey, but who brings in more sponsorship and merchandise sales...Mc Pint

  8. Perhaps a year out will do him some good.

  9. Well, I can't say it'll alter my life.

  10. Have I said how highly I hold you in regard?
Ps can I have my Panigale R non registered please!

  11. Can I have my Pani R made to look just like a KTM 1290 Superduke please..?

  12. I have been watching the 2013 TT review this week, and every time M. Dunlop opens his mouth I want to slap him. He talks like a spoilt, immature teenager. If you're winning the races you don't need to be telling everyone you're 'the man'.

The bloke might be good at racing but he comes across to me as a complete idiot that could just as likely be fighting people in pubs on a friday night with the collar on his polo shirt turned up as to be one of the best riders in the UK.

  13. Which is why McPint is so popular. Unassuming and self-effacing, he's a fans' and sponsors' dream, as well as a shit-hot racer. You have to be extremely self-confident to ride at that level, but you don't have to remind everyone. Joey and Robert weren't like that...

  14. Nor is William

  15. When Joey and Robert where racing Joey was the quiet man done all his talking on the road, Robert had more to say and also annoyed some people, I think Michael and William are the same William being more like Joey and Michael like his dad. The sport road racing needs both types of character keeps road racing on the map. Anyone that jumps on a bike and races round our local roads like the cooks town or mid Antrim 100 deserves the greatest respect. ( check them out on utube )

  16. +1 on that - met the bloke a couple of times at the TT - stand up guy, really nice. Hope to meet him again this year.

  17. I bet Guy Martin is looking forward to 2014.

  18. Rumours of Michael riding For BMW this year with factory backing
