Morning All, I've been searching online for a UK based part ordering site and cant find one so far. In a nutshell I've removed the rear top box support rack and top box from the bike I recently purchased only to find I'm missing some bits. underneath the tail of the bike I need the 4 screws that are standard fit as the 4 I've removed which hold the top box support bracket in place are obviously much longer. Of course as I've now removed the top box rack from on top of the standard rear rack/support I've also now got 4 exposed nuts/screw holes which I believe have little grommets or caps that are required to cover them. Finally my passenger seat felt a little loose at the very rear and after looking underneath it I 'think' Im missing a little rubber pad from the actual hook that slots in to position. You know the plastic 'L' shaped hook you sort of slot in to position at the back which i guess is meant to keep the seat down? Well mine has a hole in it where i believe a rubber pad goes. I've called a couple of dealers and prices have varied but both have given me leads times of circa 2-3 weeks due to Christmas. I was just wondering if anybody had some of these parts spare as they always have the rack/top box fitted anyway? If ive read the parts fiche correctly the bits im after are: Rear rack caps - 872.4.056.1a x 4 off Under tail screws - 779.1.602.1b x 4 off passenger seat rubber pad thingy - 866.1.030.1a x 1 off if you've got the caps or screws spare then im happy to buy them off you, failing that ill just have to wait it out and hope the under tail doesn't fall off
I've sorted some for under the tail, got 10 black aluminium ones and additional collars for cheaper than the 4 ducati ones I needed, delivered today as well The rear rack plugs and seat rubber I'm going to have to wait a couple of weeks for from ducati though
If you can't wait for the rack trim plugs from Ducati nip down to your local Halfords, I got a pack of plugs from there for mine (I leave the rack and top box off most of the year, only goes back on when we go away touring for a few weeks or the odd long weekend). The stems need whittling down a bit with a knife (or Dremmel) to fit in the threads but covers the thread inserts and looks spot on when fitted.
