Got cut out of a set of those back in 2000 & I'd had them a good three years at least by then. Do you think there'll be many left?
Sev if you can find them in any size +\- then get them altered would I guess be your best bet. The other people to speak to would be J&S probably Chris in northwich or Kevin national manager they always have old stock floating about and if they don't have it they can normally advise of who may be able to help.
Thanks Baldy, the thing with the dainese sizes are that the one piece suits cater for a height / chest/ gut ratio! the size 52 which gets my chest size would mean a 30" waist which aint going to happen this side of a concentration camp. I know a man with two 54 suits but he's a tight as a ducks arse and won't let his old pal Sevvy loose on one I'll give them a call though thanks for the tip off. As 2GOOD says, they're a right vintage suit, and as you can appreciate with your 900ss scavenging by now, its not so much the price but the finding one in reasonable condition. The last 54 that came up on ebay italy was road rash to buggery- even jaysus couldn't have resurrected that thing.
Does it have to be the special edition foggy leathers? Or would the same design be ok? Also, I don't think those ones you linked to are the Foggy special edition anyway. I think these are the only official Foggy special edition ones as they were all numbered and included the Foggy name and sponsors: Very rare Dainese Ducati 916 WSB Foggy Suit #498 of limited run - MVAgusta.net I have the same leathers (style/pattern) but not Foggy ones - they come without all the sponsors badges and name but are essentially the same thing. thanks antonye, its more the fact they got the old style lettering on them, so it works with my red SS, and if ever I get the money for a foggy rep they'll work with that too.
Ah right, that makes sense! Those NOS ones seem to be the only ones on ebay atm, but you might get lucky if you keep searching.
The older style in the original link would be to old for a Foggy rep 916. The older style (I binned mine after keeping them for awhile, they were to much of a painful reminder) were a copy of the leathers worn in 95. Mine had the old style Ducati script & the AGIP badges, plus a rather naff 1 on the back, they only produced so many & then offered them without badges, logos & number. They were also offered in Yellow instead of red. I remember looking at the later set (with NatWest on chest) when I almost bought an unregistered 996R from Daytona, that had been sat around for while.
