I'm a 40 year old from Locksbottom in Kent, who has been away from bikes for about 11 years or so (buying a house/marriage/divorce/married again/baby etc...) but am now returning back to the fold So thought I'd do it with something that I know I'll be happy with long term. I originally planned on a CBR600RR, or GSXR600, started looking around and thought, hmm, nice, but I'm going to get bored of this in a year or so... Instead I've placed my money in the Ducati camp I'll be the first to admit that budget creep has been an issue, so what started as 5-6k, went to 6-7k, and has stretched a bit more since, but on Saturday, I take delivery of a Jan 13/62 plate, 4k miles 848 Evo, and truly can't wait (although the current weather is likely to mean more looking at it than riding it) Still, that gives me time to fit a carbon hugger, exhaust heat shield and maybe a few other bits before the better weather arrives. I've been looking around the forum for the last few weeks and it looks like a friendly place with plenty of advice on offer, and some really nice bikes.... Now roll on Saturday - I'll post up some pictures once it arrives
Welcome to the forum! There's a few of us from Kent here and we try to get out for a ride at least once a month, more in the summer. If you're on Facebook search for DOC GB Kent (or similar) and you'll find us there
