  1. Who uses one of these and what sort or model did they get please………….any bargains out there?

  2. I'd suggest perhaps getting a reasonable one - I bought one of the cheapies on eBay. Worked well for a few months, but only used it say 50 times before it gave up :(

I'm looking for a tidy one this time.

  3. Me too. Come on. Own up. Which are the ones to buy?

  4. One with a mains lead...:upyeah:

  5. Machine Mart have 2 vat free days looming . Thursday 2nd night 6 till 9pm and sunday 5th january 10 til 4 . This is for all clarke products and 10% off everything else . If you were interested check your local branch before venturing out though.

  6. You could also try amazon as they have some good deals on at the moment . I would get 24 volt if I was getting a battery operated one.

  7. spend yer hard earned, go for the snappy, second hand if you want, cost £75 to get fully recond if it needs it had mine for about 10 years, been using it full time last 5 years first recon 3 months ago.

  9. Same as mine...:upyeah:

  10. I bought a cheap one from Aldi or lidl or whatever which is still going strong
Maybe thats because I mainly use my air powered one

  11. I have Makita. Good bit of kit. I don't use it often but it's nice to know it's there if needed. I like it because it's gentle if you want it to be. If you know what I mean.

  12. Whats the one Rally has? Clint just bought same..was the only one we could get his Panigale wheel off with

  13. oooh now your asking...

  14. Was good one, think clint paid £180 and that was cheap

  15. I use a Sealey CP2400 24v and has taken off everything it has been presented with, 916 rear wheel nut and clutch center nut no problem, drive shaft end nut on many cars, including the wife's 406 which a 2 foot breaker bar would not remove. Dead handy for lots of things, haven't used a wheel wrench since I bought it.
I paid £240 for mine about 3 years ago which came in a case with charger and 2 batteries but bargains are now out there as the model is a couple of years old now.. I have no problem in recommending it and know of two other owners who are also very pleased with it. Good price here, more than half off but only one battery:

  16. Mate off mine has the Sealey, its a good piece of kit it was after using his that I decided to buy my own ended up going for a Dewalt DW059, came with a hard case 2 x battery and a charger, I paid around £250 I think, battery life much better than the Sealey and a bit more powerful even though its only 18v it has a lot more grunt than a few other makes I've seen nothing so far has stopped it, in the 2 years I've owned it, its taken some abuse and still in perfect working order, highly recommended
