The seat I bought has very heavily cracked paint, and 120 wet n dry hasn't really touched it. Now being a race bikes i'm ok with it not looking great close up and don't really want to spend a week sanding the bugger down all over, plus about 50 sheets of paper!! I've used the filler primer Halfrauds do as a test and while it covers a little its not much. so, short of losing the use of my arm for weeks, any primer fillers or other products I can use which will minimise the cracking when I paint? I'm using plastikote spray which is quite thick in itslef. Products suggestions needed. thx
I use Halfrauds bumper repair filler. It supposed to stay flexible and I've not had any trouble with it to date.
Sounds like the gel coat is cracked. You can buy gel coat repair material. Apply it and sand back just like you would paint or filler.
