  2. Hijack sorry...did lister ever have a k5 race bike you know of? Think I saw his co name on my spare fairings tonight

  3. I think he did but I didn't have anything to do with it.

  4. You are right there Bradders. Harv said it has only been sold to DSC members and Monty was a former owner. There's an invoice in the file for 4k engine work by either him or the fellow you mention! Then Harv did a full nut and bolt restoration. I can just enjoy riding it now!

  5. Ha yeah Harv didnt really ride it at all. Just polished it and got it serviced. Still not an sps tho, its only a 916 with a flash badge

  6. They all have an 'S' in the frame no. it's a designation of the bike type, just as the 'M' in a Monster frame no. similarly the 'W' or 'A' in the engine no. designates that it is water or air-cooled.

  7. you can write RS all over it check as much stuff out as you like, throw in a few well known italian names and famous people,…………….but its still not an RS….. others have tried and failed too!:upyeah:

  8. Was purely mentioning this bike isn't dodgy in any way what exactly are you on about ?? The bike is essentially a 1000 sds with some tuning work by jhp , I nearly bought it when it was in reading and indeed offer Laguna a fair price for it

  11. the only thing i do know is that the one i got in 1994 was a 916SP ... with no number attached. it was on of only a handful that came with the carbon airbox. Most came with a plastic one that seemed to tear easily...

    long time ago already... :)
