if the front axle on a 749R is the same as any other 749? Or 999. Clearly, any 999 with radial forks will have the same axle! Thanks for your help!
I know people have upgraded the standard 749 forks to the R Ohlins and only needed the forks & the bottom yoke so I reckon it will work. Found an unobtanium spindle? :biggrin:
no, the spnidle in the RS is oval - a major PIA to get past the spacer. Titanium axles are too retro: I've ordered one of these: https://tpoparts.com/cat093/index.php?route=product/product&path=1_46&product_id=104 Stronger and lighter - it's the way forward! :biggrin: I will be needing a spare tho, so it's good to know what will fit - thanks.
Axle is the same as all 749, 999, HYM796/1100, M796, MTS1100/1000, M1100, M4RS, GT1000 and Desmoseidici........few to go at Jerry :wink:
d'you know, I was thinking of taking the spindle out of the S4Rs to try! Good to see that the Desmo has some tried and trusted tech.
