Im not good with electrics but on the 999 there is a 40 amp fuse that sits below the ecu . Without it I am unsure whether it would turn over but the ignition still lights up . If there is anything like that on the monster have you checked it . Seemingly thats a regulator fuse so that wont be your problem.
Hi guys, just an update. Chris W has very kindly agreed to send me a Virginised ECU to try on my bike, if this works then he will sort my ECU. Cant thank him enough, he probably hears this all the time, but your efforts are well received Chris.
Received Chris's virginised ECU in the post today by Special Delivery, fitted it, and......well, see for yourselves. Monster 1000 - YouTube
Hi Guys, just an update on whats happening with the ECU. ChrisW received my ECU and the plan was to remove the Immo, as we established that the bike would run with a virginised ECU. Unfortunately Chris tried a couple of diagnostic programmes on the ECU and was unable to communicate with it. So we have a fried ECU. :frown: So next step is, by a replacement ECU (DONE) and let Chris work is magic.... So, take this as some advice if you ever find your bike battery dead, never rig a charger to it, take the battery off or use a correct optimate system. Not an agricultural 30amp charger!!! it may fry your ecu!
