Hi guys got an 848 and just wanna know what ppl use to clean,as I have no jet wash I use the 2 bucket method but what do ppl use to clean by the shock and top of engine etc? Also the front wheel is a pain coz of the break disc what do ppl use?
Obviously it depends how dirty you get your bike in the first place. I don't ride if the roads are filthy before I start. The worst my bike gets is when I get caught out in rain. In the main, I just use a hosepipe (occasionally to blast flies out of the radiators etc) and a bucket of wash and wax. I get the chain lube off the back end with WD40 or any proprietary grease remover. I find a microfibre cloth works well. I also use a MF cloth to polish the paintwork when it's dry. My bikes are always seen as very clean but I can't say I'm a cleaning fanatic. I certainly wouldn't go to the bother of removing exhausts to polish them, for instance.
Lol how about the rear shock just cannot seem to get it looking spotless, I do like a clean bike but I do use it pretty much everyday
I used a wheel brush or washing up brush to get into the shock. Spray with sodc100 then clean. Can use a cloth looped around the shock between the coils too.
Muck off works well that plus WD and Wurth degreaser, I use a hose without issue and an air line to blow the water off, One of those meguiars MF cloths to dry and another to polish, usually just use the autoglym show shine for a quick polish.
With the acf50 how do you use it?? I sprayed it on all the bits and bobs and wiped of all the excess then it became like one big magnet to shit and grime sticking to it?
