  6. Made it!

Got there a bit too early and left a bit early as my knee was becoming painful and swollen again........

.....still, once the bl**dy misfire** had cleared, a most enjoyable blast down the A12 and A120 in the sunshine (d*mn cold in the shade though).....

**now what the hell caused that?

Was it carb icing and the oil cooler was working too well so the carbs couldn't warm up; or was it a petrol residue that was floating around and was messing the jets about?

I gave up playing with the choke trying to clear it and just gave the throttle a handful in each gear, then sustained a high speed for a few miles..........that seemed to do the trick.....

  7. Good to see you again Al. Great turnout today, 9 Ducati's, a Triumph a BMW and a 750 Enfield, 14 people including quite a few forum members. Nice to see/meet you all.

    Cheers, Keith.

  8. Yep, sorry Keith........ I should have said great to meet all (again where appropriate)...(and you Pete...)......

.....I am probably suffering from the euphoria having having finally got out on the bike for more than 10 miles after being laid up....(not the bike, me).

    Knee has calmed down now.........

I reckon it happened because my leather trousers are tight and they don't have elasticated panels at the back of the knees, so it bunches up owing to the angle the leg is bent at.......

.....still that will soon be cured when I get the two piece that Drinky let me have, back from Hideout Leathers.....

  9. Nice to meet you guys - good turn out and a pleasant if brief chat with a few. No biking for me today, but a bloody nice pizza, accompanied by the rugby on I-player. Will try to get to next meet on me 749.
    Cheers,
    Andrew.
