Insurance for Daytime MOT

  1. I've got a friend with a 749r on a daytime MOT who is having trouble getting insurance. Any leads would be appreciated.

  2. No such thing as day time MOT. An MOT is an MOT.

If you have the bike MOT'd and it doesn't have any lights fitted, then the MOT is just marked with the words "no lighst fitted at time of MOT"

This doesn't even come in to the insurance process.

  3. yeah, why has the lights question even come up on the insurance quote submit

  4. Maybe the "Any modifications sir" question may have been valid? Erm, Yes, no lights, no indicators, race fairings, aftermarket shock , different subframe etc etc. A bit like if you tell them you've had 6 insurance claims in the last 3 years, they don't want to know.

  5. So it depends on your ability to "negotiate" with your broker/insurer
