Hi all I wonder if anyone can help. Just had my first doo on my new Rosso dream machine (1098s) amazing never ridden anything like it and cant wait until its back from the race paint shop! That's the good news the bad is.... I can't see what's behind! The mirrors just don't seem to stick out far enough even if I move myself and my arm right in I still can't see if the Poh Poh are behind before I pull out to overtake. Does anyone know if the mirrors can be changed or extended ( know it sounds a bit stupid but is there such a thing as blocks that I could put between the fairing and the mirror base to extend them ? thanks in advance
The mirrors are utter shite. You cant see anything, they move in their housing and they vibrate like a Rampant Rabbit. The extenders wont really help either. They'll either give you a new angle of your elbow or vibrate so much you wont be able to make anything out anyway The only thing you can do is the stupid chicken wing thing. ie lifting up your arm at the elbow and looking through the gap :Meh:
some one posted on here about a mod that i was interested in a wee while back i never got round to chasing him up on it.
You can buy aftermarket mirrors from Italy but they are damn expensive at around £180 if I remember correctly.
Yup as Matt said. I have the DP mirrors very similar to one of the Moto Science offerings. The downsides The LEDs are pants so in sunlight I use my arm to indicate as well (I think the MS versions are a lot better) They are actually smaller than the standard so "Warning" This ride will contain chicken dancing" The Upside They are solid and not like a jakey with a cup of tea in the morning. Although you chicken dance you can see behind you IMHO I also prefer "The Look" If it was me I'd curse bit the bullet and order a pair from Moto Science, all other options are pants http://www.moto-science.com/products/ducati-1198-1098-848-mirrors
