You would loose your bet, just remember TC does not protect you from spinning up when bike is going slightly side ways but when you regain grip you will fly high in the sky. Something you would have avoided with proper throttle control. DTC is so intrusive that if you can not tell it is working well good luck. Finally I guess me, racers in motogp are all with square wheels.
What a complete idiot you have your opinion and leave a thread you ain't interested in alone simples there are much better things you could waste your time on for example learning to speak English or even riding your bike ! I asked for advice on DTC and got crap off someone who has no interest or idea about how it works !
For now I have restraint from being offensive and personal yet you did not so who needs to learn better English, running out of words or something? Also when you speak more then one language fluently come back to me and let me know. You asked for advice on DTC and you got it switch it off that is also advice on DTC or your limited language skills do not allow you to comprehend that (here now I am going personal)? Finally who does not know how DTC works, it is not me who asks how to know if DTC is working? DTC does not help that much when your wheel is spinning and sliding it does not work sideways, it is not designed to stop you sliding sideways. It will stop the spin up in direction of travel BUT it might be to late to stop it from sliding sideways. Sliding sideways that was started by spin up mid corner. Perfect example is my pet hate Casey Stoner who slides that Honda like he was in drift race, all with TC a TC that is miles better then road going DTC. DTC is a reactive device not pro-active device. It prevents excessive spin up not prevents it from happening in first place. You need to start spinning up rear wheel so it rotates faster then front wheel for DTC to know it is happening. It also then checks your lean angle, speed, if you are in super wheelie mode, decides how to intervene and by how much before it takes action and what action. It does that quickly but anyone who had a low side will tell you that in many cases you are on top of the world and suddenly you are meters away from your bike. That nature of TC alone should make you realise that you should make sure you do not spin up in first place. Why do you think car, and bike TC does not work on ice as intended or in some cars at all?
Do you actually read what you write ? I gave up after the second line it makes no sence at all !!!! So let's leave it there and agree to disagree
I'll brake it down for you in to bullet points. - You call me an idiot and insult my knowledge of English. I suggest you have very limited knowledge of your own language as you can not have normal, not offensive discussion and have to result to insults then I ask if you maybe run out of words you know (aka suggest that you insulted me due to limited vocabulary you have). Then I asked you if you know more than one language fluently to show that I do and you probably do not so you have no right to attack my language skills as they are on overall higher level then yours. - I then explained to you that telling you to switch off DTC and learning to use throttle is advice about your subject DTC. - Then you insulted me again saying I do not know how DTC works. Now here I am not going to retype all I did above but in short gave you a quick brake down of how DTC works, what type of system TC is in general. Then I instructed you more about how TC works and to prove my point gave an example of one of the top MotoGP riders overcoming TC. I did also mention that TC he uses is far better then any road going system. Then I suggested that you should know by now that DTC only reacts to action created by riders input (throttle opening) and it does not stop you from opening said throttle in first place. Finally when I asked you about TC not working on ice I was suggesting for you to think how come your magnificent electronics do not help a car to stop spinning wheels and stop sliding on ice? I was trying to show you that it is not perfect and it is not designed to help you when you slide the wheels. Simple enough sunshine?
Read your perfect English.! Obviously not that fluent are you ! I don't need to learn another language as I have no intention to work in another country ...... You initial post went on about your dislike for TC to be honest I couldn't give a shit what you like or dislike it is totally irelivant to the post and as for insults you 1st questioned my riding capabilities and told me to turn off the TC and learn to ride the bike without it ! Why would I want to to that ? Anyway let's leave it there !!!!! As I have already said and agree to disagree
Well Oxford dictionary is quite good. Grab it and find a difference between perfect and fluent or better fluent and native as that is where it will be. Suggestion to switch off TC and learn how to ride a bike is not an insult but an advice. I can activate your DTC at 40mph. All I have to do is go around a 80mph sweeper at 40mph in 2nd gear and yank a throttle suddenly full open. Will that TC then make me faster by providing better drive out of that corner or will it fight to regain grip and as result cut available power to manageable level? In the same situation I take a bike with no DTC and do that bend at constant 60mph then open the throttle firmly but fluently at exit until maximum it can go on that particular sweeper who will be faster, who will have better drive? You learn how to ride your bike to the max, then you put TC on and push it even more. If you never reach the maximum potential of your bike with TC off why do you need TC? Why would you want to learn to ride bike without TC well if not for being faster maybe so that you know how your bike will behave in every possible situation so you know how to react to it? That includes with and without TC. Want to learn something about TC get explanation when TC is useful and works best located on Nemesis website (forum). My dislike is not irrelevant as it will dictate my advice and explain as to why I think that way. I have dislike to TC so suggest switching it off it is only obvious. Now regarding another language well this shows your state of mind and explains a lot. Not going to work in another country do not need language. Do not need to learn how to ride a bike as will use DTC to get me out of trouble. Am I missing something? I was under the impression that human kind learns new things to better themselves and not because they have gun to their head. If everyone had the same thinking like you do now we would still be eating bugs and living in caves. Don't you feel embarrassed when you visit other country and can not even ask for basic things in local lingo, or do you expect them to know English as you are their guest? By your last comment about language and jobs I am starting to think I know what type of personality you fall in to. Are you this kind off person by any chance?
why would I need to learn the language of a country that I'm gonna visit for a holiday ? Are you just visiting the uk ?
Movie is about to start ... No staying in UK. Common decency would dictate to learn a bit of it, key words and phrases. The least how to read them correctly out of dictionary. If I visit another country I learn basic words and if I like the language I try and learn the rest because I want to. By question above it is clear you do not learn new lingo as you live and work in UK and that is all you need guess assuming everyone who comes to UK for holiday or otherwise (business) knows English so they can speak to your grace? You then also expect people abroad when you visit their country to learn English as well as you will also not learn their language. Hmm right all clear now to everyone. It must be driving you mad that I am here "taking your jobs". It is hard on job market but jobs are there with such high unemployment you would guess all jobs would be taken so why are they not?
We can discuss this face to face as I really can't be arsed to entertain you anymore enjoy my block list
We have a block list, uh wait it is crowded in here but no English in sight ......... oh hi Paivi. A quick one fujack so me being in your block list how will we arrange the meet then? Jerry you came to late.
Sorry folks what started off as asking for advice turned out to be so much more lol so for the record All 1198 Ducati's built 2011 come with traction control and quickshift !! But mine ain't working will be booking it in tomorrow will post the outcome of what it was that was at fault
good man! For the record, Lucaz is one of the guys from the old Ducatisti site. He's one of the good people and will go out of his way to help people. Don't read the guy in the wrong way - it's difficult enough to convey the proper feeling for the meaning of a thread when you're writing in your own language, so it must be harder for people who are writing in a foreign language.
Fujack, a number of us know Lucazade from Ducatisti which closed down. After reading all the threads on here from you both, I'm afraid that you've read Lucas all wrong. You've shown your hand of frustration and also that your happy to be a 'keyboard warrior' to boot. In my opinion/ 2P'th counts you should've consulted your dealer 1st and foremost.!. Whilst waiting for this process, started looking for older posts that may have been started with the same/ similar issues as yours on a few forums. Lucas is a decent forum member and alot of us know of him through the forum. Fujack. Time to step down from the 'soap box' and leave the keyboard alone.
Wow! what a complete hijack. Welcome Dickatisti.co.uk mk2! Fujack did consult his dealer, who appears to have talked a load of shite. He came here asking for knowledge of others, having looked at his bike finding menu options and hardware that didn't appear to be working. He didn't ask for personal opinions on the merits of TC, just whether someone could help him figure it out. Nothing personal guys but if Lucas was gently taking the p*ss a few smileys or the odd lol would have softened the blow and given Fujack the chance to step away from the keyboard. "Good guys" or not, some of the stuff said on here has been pure playground. Fujack mate, good luck speaking to a dealer that knows their onions. It's a hell of a bike that I'd love to experience riding with TC on & off. Hopefully you can get yours sorted under whatever warranty u got. Enjoy your bike the way you want to. Let us know what happens so that if this happens to others we got some reference. Sharing useful information with like minded people is why most of us join these sites. Personally I reserve "taking the p*ss" for my best mates down the garage with a tin in my hand and a smile on my face.
