Hi all I have a 2009 1198s which is standard, at the end of last year I bought myself a full 70mm termignoni system and now as the weather is starting to get better I'm in the process of fitting it all, when I turn the ignition on the dash scrolls the message "SBK 1198S TSE" then when I fitted the DP ECU that came with the exhaust it also scrolls the same message is that correct or should it scroll a different message? I have also so fitted a Ducati quick shifter will this need to be enabled in the ECU for it to work? Many thanks Jason
Had the same with the second hand one I bought.... There are some codes on a sticker on the ecu to check which one it is. As happened with me the lad couldn't be arsed to take the slip on ecu off his bike so just gave me the oe expecting me not to notice.... sure someone will be along to tell you what is what with the codes but on my 1098 at least the dash message changed to 1098 racing
SBK 1198S TSE indicates that you have a stock ECU The DP slip on ECU message is 1198S RACING and I believe the full system ECU is 1198S RACING EVO. To get the quick shifter you need it activating by the ECU, it is not plug and play.
Ok cheers, so it looks like I have been sold a standard ECU with the exhaust system :-( Looking at both ECUs they have the same part numbers "1198SDUCATI062(EU)" Can I get the ECU remapped? and the DQS activated? or do I need to buy the correct ECU?
There's a handy number checker here Ecu DB search Your ECU can be re flashed. I will check to see if I have the full system map with DQS.
