Just come to do the pre season oil change and noticed that there was a mist in the oil sight glass. Ran the bike up to 90c and it did not seem to clear so thought I would do the oil change anyway. Did the change and it is still there. Have again run the bike up to 90c but it is not clearing. Does this mean the oil has gone waxy over the winter and what should I do about it. Help please
Go for a long ride and when you get back take the oil filler cap off. Let the bike cool down and then replace the cap. The milky film is just condensation.
Tbf to the OP, out of interest i just did a search and not much came back. Either the search function isnt working that well or i have imagined about 10 threads on this subject during winter and lots of posts in threads about it...maybe its me
