  1. Hi knew to this sort of thing.so I was hoping that some one could help. My 04 749s is ticking over at 3000+ revs is there a easy fix or is it a visit to the mechanic. Thanks for any help.

  2. Have you accidentally left the 'cold start' lever in the fully open position perchance?

  3. Split intake rubber/s?
    Trapped throttle cable?
    Butterfly return spring bust?

  4. That'd be my initial guess - hopefully it is.

  5. Thanks for the reply just had a fiddle with the cables and I think its the cold start cable if that's what its called on the left Handel bar that's sticking.any way to greas these or some way to ease than.thanks.

  6. If the cable is sticky, it might be worthwhile removing the handlebar lever assembly, and holding the end of the cable in the air vertically allow some drops of light machine oil/sewing machine oil/3in 1 to dribble down the steel inner into the cable outer. Grease is not a good idea as it is too sticky.

  7. Thanks I have got it sorted with a lot of wiggling. But I think I will do what you sujested I'll give it a go tomorrow. Thanks all

  8. A Syringe is a useful tool for that sort of thing, idealy with a thin needle on it.

  9. the syrings thing sounds like a plan next time.
